The Life In A Fine City Guide to Red Rooster Festival 2024

At the end of May, thousands of live music lovers from Norwich, will pop across the border for the annual Red Rooster Festival at Euston Hall, Suffolk. Here’s all you need to know.

So what’s it all about? Red Rooster Festival is the UK’s finest Blues, Soul, Roots, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Americana and Country music festival which attracts musicians and festival goers from all over the world. 

When is it?  30th May – 1st June 2024

Where is it? In the stunning grounds of Euston Hall, Thetford, IP242QW

How do you get there from Norwich? Euston Hall is just a 45 minute drive from Norwich, off the A11. If you prefer using public transport, it’s a short train ride to Thetford and roughly a 10 minute taxi to the festival. 

Who is playing? There are quite literally hundreds of great bands and musicians playing this year across several stages. Highlights include headliners – Asleep At The Wheel, Galen & Paul and Robert Finley to name but a few. 

Anyone else we should listen out for? There’s plenty! Take Me To The River, The Mississippi All Stars and Muireann Bradley are all class acts. Other must sees are The Hanging Stars plus local heroes Vierra and the Silvers and Brown Horse. 

What’s the venue like? It’s absolutely stunning. Landscaped gardens, ancient woodlands and beautiful lakes and rivers. 

Is the festival family friendly? Definitely! There’s a dedicated family campsite and lots of great activities to join in throughout the day. 

What’s the vibe? Red Rooster Festival is really laid back! Its compact layout allows for easy strolling, featuring diverse spaces like the bustling food court and vibrant market, alongside multiple stages and serene riverfront swimming spots.

Any other highlights? Red Rooster is known for its high calibre food offering and 2024 will be no different. New for the 10th anniversary, Red Rooster has teamed up with award winning BBQ specialists Meat Street BBQ, to offer sit-down banquet on each day of the festival. Themed to match the style of BBQ offering, you’ll be able to go traditional American BBQ on the Thursday with the “Smokestack Lighting” Banquet, an Asian BBQ on the Friday with the “How The East Was Won” Banquet, or you can go Middle Eastern on the Saturday with the “Country & Eastern Banquet” – go dine in style –
