Location
This talk will examine the history of porcelain and how Lowestoft came to be at the forefront of experimental porcelain in the 18th Century.
The story of Porcelain is one of intrigue, sabotage, and espionage. How did Lowestoft a fishing town on the edge of the country, miles away from the traditional potteries become an important player in experimental porcelain. The story has alchemists locked in castles and spies hiding in barrels. All for the want of a nice cup of tea and something fancy to drink it from.
